This week, we’re bringing back this snippet from our interview with Rachel Kambury, one of the HarperCollins editors who joined the strike. This time last year, she shared the conditions that led to the strike as well as her vision for what a better publishing industry would look like. The 66-day strike ended on February 23, 2023, resulting in an agreement with the company that raised the pay for the lowest earners—a victory for the 250 workers involved.
